In order to distribute changes from one company to other companies using the MDM, the executing users must have permissions for the MDM.
Furthermore, it is necessary that the users have indirect permissions for all tables maintained in the relations. These permissions must be created by the respective project/customer themselves.
Example:
A user wants to create a new customer in the source company M. For the table 18 Customer there are a total of three relations for the target companies A, B and C. In order to distribute the data of the newly created customer to the three target companies, indirect permissions for the table 18 Customer in the companies M, A, B and C are needed.
The MDM includes the following permission sets as standard:
BET MDM - Objects sets a direct EXECUTE permission (X) for all objects in the MDM
BET MDM - Read sets a direct READ permission (R) for all MDM tabledata objects
BET MDM - User sets a direct INSERT, MODIFY and DELETE permission (IMD) to all MDM tabledata objects except for:
tabledata 5581452 "BET MDM Company"
BET MDM - Admin sets a direct INSERT, MODIFY and DELETE permission (IMD) only to the MDM tabledata objects:
In order to work with the MDM and create relations, at least permissionssets BET MDM - Objects, BET MDM - Read and BET MDM - User are required.
For renaming MDM database names or MDM companies as well as for creating and deleting MDM companies, the permissionset BET MDM - Admin is also required.
